I visited City of Glasgow College Riverside Campus alongside my Glasgow colleagues John Grady MP and Patricia Ferguson to see the incredible facilities across science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The practical expertise which is taught on campus can transform young lives.


A busy day chatting to Gerry from @Pavillionyouth to hear about their upcoming projects ๐and meeting with Kevin from Easterhouse Sports Centre Easterhouse Sport Centre with Councillor Sharon Greer @CllrSharon_Greer about supporting the important services they provide. โฝ๏ธ๐







๐ค A very enjoyable and interesting conversation with Stuart Patrick CBE from Glasgow Chamber of Commerce Glasgow Chamber to discuss the challenges and changes Glasgow faces. Thereโs much to be positive about for the future of the city. ๐ข๐ฆ





Last Friday I was in Robroyston at the new Taylor Wimpey development to hear about the challenges housebuilders are facing in Scotland๐ทโโ๏ธ. Itโs important that high quality homes are being built in Glasgow North East, and it was good to find out how I could support their plans. ๐ก



It was a pleasure to visit Oakwood Primary School Oakwood Primary School in Easterhouse to watch a brilliant presentation from the P6s about their work with the Daffodil Club ๐ผ, a social group which supports elderly people. The class ran a Spring Fayre and raised nearly ยฃ5000!๐


What a pleasure to attend the new St Pauls Youth Forum On Bikes shop at Hogganfield Loch with Paul Sweeney MSP. On Bikes is a social enterprise, with all profits going back to the community. They offer a bike library, sales, repairs - even adaptive and electric bikes! ๐ฒ๐ฒ


Last week I was invited by Animal Free Research UK AnimalFreeResearchUK to the Advanced Research Centre ๐ฌ๐งช at the University of Glasgow. The passion and drive of the students to help discover new ways to conduct medical and scientific testing without the use of animals was incredible to see



I met with the new Principal of Glasgow Kelvin College Glasgow Kelvin College at their Easterhouse Campus.๐ฉโ๐ซ Attending college gave me a new direction, so seeing students being so positive about what education can do really shows the importance of learning skills in a welcoming environment.
