Leah Paice chats with @CarolineJM26, postdoctoral research fellow at the Aphasia CRE and Research & Clinical Practice Lead in the speech pathology department at Monash Health about the mental health considerations when working with a person with #aphasia. soundcloud.com/speechpatholog…

Just heard Professor Miranda Rose's @aphasiacr fascinating talk on #COMPARE #aphasia results. An extraordinary RCT (n=216) M-MAT vs CIAT plus vs Usual care in chronic aphasia. Truly fascinating.

Access to simple-to-understand research results is crucial in the #rehabilitation journey and life with #aphasia. It would be great if we could make #research more accessible to everyone. Well done! aphasiacre & Aphasia Trialists

Not sure how to measure if a client with #aphasia has SIGNIFICANTLY responded to #treatment? Read about Minimal detectable change (MDC) a simple clinical decision-making method in our review bit.ly/2Uhxu3c aphasiacre Professor Miranda Rose John E Pierce Dr Annie J Hill Robyn O'Halloran

Yesterday, John E Pierce gave an excellent presentation as part of the aphasiacre lecture series. CIAT PLUS & M-MAT both show preliminary efficacy in word retrieval at low-moderate intensity (6 hours/week). 👏👏👏

I had the honour & pleasure of presenting our aphasiacre review at the C-STAR meeting today. We hope that our work will promote: 💡Evaluation of therapy success for the individual client with #aphasia 💡Maintaining therapy gains to be a primary goal in aphasia rehabilitation
