As we continue our lead-up to this year’s Historic Houses Conference at Maynooth University, we’re shining a spotlight on Session Three. This panel features research on furnishing, personal diaries, and the experiences of women in Irish country houses.

We are delighted to share details that our colleague, Dr Dr. Jennifer Redmond will feature in a new documentary which airs on Sun 8th June on RTE One. From That Small Island - The Story of the Irish - Narrated by Colin Farrell the series traces 8,000 Years of Irish history.

'From that small Island: The story of the Irish' continues on RTE One and on the RTE Player. Narrated by Colin Farrell, it features our colleagues Prof Marian Lyons, Prof Thomas O'Connor and Dr Jennifer Redmond.

Congratulations to our colleague, Dr Sarah Roddy on the publication of new book, Money and Irish Catholicism, published by Cambridge University Press. The book traces how ordinary people funded the Irish Catholic church between the end of the Famine and independence.
