A woman injured in a crash last Fri. on S. Rutherford Blvd. has died. Belinda Talley, 63, died Mon. (July 21) from injuries she sustained in the crash. Talley failed to yield the right of way, according to the preliminary investigation. A 17-year-old driver treated and released.

We are saddened to announce the passing of the department’s longest working K9, Ruger. Ruger retired in January 2022 and passed away on Wednesday, July 23. Ruger was trained in narcotics and made a significant impact in fighting crime in the City of Murfreesboro.
