We are very sorry to report that Reza Khandan, husband of 2023 Brown Medal recipient Nasrin Sotoudeh, has been arrested by Iranian security police. He was sentenced in 2019 for making buttons protesting Iran’s mandatory hijab laws. He was arrested to carry out that sentence.
