A peek into our Spring ISD Black History Celebration! We honored our past and present focused on this year’s theme, “African Americans and Labor”. Students created incredible projects, sang, danced, & stepped in celebration of the resilience, pride, & progress of our community!

Today, the city of Houston paid our respects to former Mayor Sylvester Turner. I reflected on the courage, sacrifice, integrity, and humility that he displayed as he led, even through the toughest times. He stood with and for the people always. His legacy lives on. 🤍
