We have been hard at work with our Food Service’s Unit! Our most recent lesson taught us all about how to plate an “attractive” meal with all the necessary food groups! 🥗🍗🍪

Classroom Recipes Unit is back in full swing! Each one of the students brings in a recipe from home. For the week they get to teach us all about ingredients, directions, and why they love it! Our executive chef this week taught us how to make Guacamole! It was delicious! Yum!🥑

This week’s Classroom Recipe… Banana Bread 🍞 🍌 We got to discuss the difference between wet and dry ingredients. We also got a lot of practice with our measurements when reading a recipe! So much learning and fun as we enjoyed our delicious treat!

Today some of the members of our Unified Sports teams attended the 2024 Youth Summit for Special Olympics! We got to learn the importance of inclusion and how to get involved! We are so looking forward to our upcoming seasons! 💙💛

This week’s Classroom Recipe: Vanilla Cake🍰 This one was a classroom favorite for sure! Our executive chef decided she wanted to add pink food coloring to the cake and icing so we were able to learn what happens when we mix in food coloring! Stay tuned for next week’s recipe!

The Big Mac Beanery hosted a Teacher Appreciation Day sponsored by Our Student Council to show our amazing support to our CMHS Staff this holiday season!❤️💚 Each staff member received a free coffee, tea, or refresher along with a beautifully decorated holiday cookie!

We have been busy delivering T Shirts to all the schools at Canon Mac and got to see some of our favorite staff along the way! Remember to wear your Yurko Strong T shirts on Friday to the Bocce Match at 12 pm in support of John Yurko and his battle against Hodgkins Lymphoma💜

Today, we got show our support for our fellow teammate John Yurko in his battle against Hodgkins Lymphoma. The Canon McMillan Unified Bocce Team hosted our first bocce match to honor John. We took home the win against the Trinity Hillers! CMHS is Yurko Strong💜
