It's #FosterCareFortnight with the theme 'The Power of Relationships' It's vital we celebrate our amazing foster carers and thank them for supporting young people Across Scotland and here in Edinburgh we need an estimated 400 more foster carers - could you make the difference ?

Really enjoyed meeting pupils from Wester Hailes High School at the construction skills demonstration. It was great to participate & learn more about the ‘Build Your Future’ program which raises the profile of a variety of professions available to young people in construction.

Yesterday I was fortunate enough to take part in the roofing masterclass at the Scottish Traditional Building Forum construction skills demonstration at Scottish Parliament. We need to ensure education and training for these skills are accessible for all regardless of where you live.

Great to welcome young people to the @scotparl last week who were showing off construction skills like tiling and stonemasonry. We need traditional construction for the upkeep of our historical buildings, and governments must help young people to pursue these valuable careers.
