Housing bill defeated in CA senate. It would have been a major step in Gov Newsom’s plan to reduce the housing shortage. The bill would have reduced height restrictions for new housing construction near transportation hubs. There may be another try this year. See Alexei Koseff

Anyone who is starting to lose sympathy for unvaccinated people needs to consider this. Most of unvaccinated aren’t hard core anti-vaxxers willfully denying COVID. They are people who for various reasons are hesitant or who haven’t prioritized it and deserve our empathy and help
