The news is finally outโฆ The BRIT Awards are coming to Manchester ๐ถ

๐The Manchester Labour ๐ hive was out in force last night to celebrate at the Manchester Rusholme Labour Party fundraiser! As Chair it was a joy to introduce Afzal Khan MP and our guest of honour Anas Sarwar, who gave brilliant speeches, along with a rendition of happy birthday for John Hughes! ๐๐น๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ

Out and about today with some helpers, talking to city centre residents about how Manchester Labour ๐ is building more affordable housing, investing in cleaner streets, and how the government is advancing renters and leaseholdersโ rights ๐ก ๐๏ธ ๐๏ธ

The heartbreaking moment when you or your family member gets the devastating news of terminal illness, the last thing you need is to worry about money & bills. So we are exempting people their families from council tax. Thanks to Marie Curie for championing ending poverty.

Andy Burnham โ Nobody living with a terminal illness should have to worry about affording their bills in the last months and weeks of their life. It's great to see Manchester City Council recognise this and take action. ๐ Now we urgently need to see more councils follow Manchester's lead!

Celebrating all thatโs good about your local community is what Manchester is all about. The sun is shining for Harpuhey Together, a fantastic community parade and family picnic. Good luck to Pat Karney Joanne Green and the many community organisations that have pulled together

Manchester is building more council, social and genuinely affordable homes that it has done for 15 years. Our Housing Plan committed to build at least 10,000- weโre on track and delivering homes right across the city. A Labour Government will help us build even more ๐ก๐๏ธ๐๏ธ

Wanted to catch up with my steps after leave so managed 2 #labourdoorstep sessions today for Moss Side Labour and Rusholme Labour. Excellent support on the door for Manchester Labour ๐ in both sessions Afzal Khan MP

โ Today Manchester Labour ๐ passed a motion at Manchester City Council to tackle the dangers of illegal e-bikes, off-road bikes & e-scooters. ๐ซ Enough is enough. ๐ Weโre backing stronger enforcement, tougher regulation & safer streets for all. #JacobsJourney #Manchester #SafeStreets
