So, this is a first in D.C. politics: Yesterday Trayon White shared a video on his Instagram account of a woman encouraging people to go vote. (There was some light endorsement of his message, also.) The video, though, is AI-generated.

News: At-Large SBOE Rep. Jacque Patterson (Dr. Jacque Patterson, (Edvocate At-Large)) tells me he’ll file to run for DC delegate tomorrow. He’s fresh off chairing Sheila Bunn’s Ward 8 campaign. He’s the first serious challenger to Eleanor Holmes Norton…if she runs again. I’d expect to others file soon.

In D.C., a toddler died of hunger and thirst. Why didn’t anybody save her? So much neglect, by the parent but also by the social welfare agency charged with caring for our most vulnerable. Heart-rending work by paul schwartzman: wapo.st/4lJgDhd

An unknown LLC is suing D.C. sports betting companies under an 18th century law named for Queen Anne. Now the D.C. Council may intervene with a provision in the budget, up for a vote Monday, that could moot the case. washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2025/…
