Great to meet with Meals & More and learn more about their Holiday Activities Food Programme, which already helps so many children in the UK, but could be expanded with more action from policymakers.

Just half of the 4 million children experiencing food poverty are supported by the HAF scheme. Today I attended a drop-in hosted by Sysco and Meals & More calling for urgent action to improve and develop the HAF Programme for vulnerable children over the school holidays.

50% of parents have missed a meal so their children can eat. Hunger is at its highest level in 20 years, says Meals & More. I’ve seen this first hand working at Hemel Hempstead Community Fridge. Tackling the cost of living crisis is a core priority for Labour nationally, and me locally.
