I’m on vacation in Islamorada & 14ft “LeeBeth” that we caught/tagged off Hilton Head in December cruised right by 10 miles off the beach. Can’t imagine if I saw her snorkeling. Tagged her 500 miles away.

White shark LeeBeth’s motto has been “just keep swimming” since Chip Michalove & AWSC’s Staff Scientist, Megan Winton, tagged her with a SPOT tag & a camera tag on 12/8 off Hilton Head, SC. Her current pings are off the Gulf of Mexico! We will be sharing some camera tag video soon!

Yesterday, white shark LeeBeth made shark science history, pinging in off the coast of Matamoros, Mexico. This is the furthest west a white shark has ever been tracked into the Gulf of Mexico.

Went 1 for 2 on great whites on my first trip back in a while. Had a big one throw the hook 10 yards from the boat, then landed this little 9 footer an hour later. She got a satellite tag and Megan Winton put a camera tag on her that’s recording her routine.

Looks like white shark ‘LeeBeth’ has made it to Canada. Since she was tagged by Chip Michalove and Megan Winton she’s proven to be an international traveler visiting 3 countries 🇺🇸🇲🇽🇨🇦. Where will she go next? You can follower her on the Sharktivity app.
