Imagine if laws could keep kids from dying from cancer. We'd be furious if politicians didn't enact these laws. Guns kill >2x as many kids as cancer. Sensible laws prevent firearm deaths in kids. We should be enraged if politicians don't enact them.

As we consider the bipartisan gun safety bill today, I joined Marylanders from Moms Demand Action & Everytown to thank them for their tireless advocacy & mark this progress. We know this is a long journey. But every step forward is a meaningful step on which we will continue to build.
