Yet another commission on social care. Awful for those who continue to suffer after decades of failure. This govt abandoned consensus on reform on cost grounds. Just arrived and looking forward to this, not just considering how social care reform can succeed but what we can learn from other countries about the shift from hospital to home. For social care, seeing this as part of social fabric is important international learning for me.

Given our challenges, as a sector we work hard to put social care in the control of people and do what we can to enable social care to support a good life. More to do as this suggests but encouraging given where we are.
