Two out of 8 people worldwide are not aware of their status, and #HIV still disproportionally affects young people and adolescents. This new funding will reach this testing gap, removing the barriers to getting tested thanks to self-testing kits.

By unblocking the power of self-testing, we can make #HIV testing convenient and confidential, removing many of the barriers to getting tested - cost, social stigma and access to health services. People deserve the choice to test when, where and how they want.

This new The Children's Investment Fund Foundation - The Global Fund partnership is designed to increase funding for country programs that have ambitious #HIV self-testing goals. This investment will contribute to scaling up the pioneering progress of the Unitaid Self Testing in Africa Initiative.
