5th grade Strikers had a great final Mendez Elementary field day! Students challenged teachers and staff to slides and races, and parents enjoyed just one more day of elementary school fun with their kids! What a beautiful day to be a Striker!

It was dress like your favorite food day for our 5th graders choice dress up week Mendez Elementary ! What a fun way to celebrate our Strikers as they move on to middle school!
Mendez Elementary won the attendance trophy yet again at the SMCISD board meeting for the best district elementary attendance in April. We are currently above 95% attendance for the year and closing in on our 96% goal!
One of our favorite days at Mendez Elementary is Senior Walk! It is so awesome seeing these bright Rattlers come back to walk the halls, inspiring and encouraging our Strikers!
Our fourth grade Mendez Elementary Strikers had a great time celebrating the completion of their novel study of the book "Holes". They watched the movie, did lizard crafts, and ate Holes themed snacks while discussing the book and the author.
Bringing my kids to Mendez Elementary was the best choice I have ever made. My boys are thriving. I do not take it for granted that it is because of the incredible people surrounding them. San Marcos CISD you have the best humans that work at Mendez. People are what make the magic.
Today we celebrated our 1st-4th grade Mendez Elementary Strikers during our end of the year awards. We have so many Striking Matematicians, Writer, Readers and Scientists! We're proud of each and every one of our students and we can't wait to see what they accomplish next year!
So glad we were able to do a makeup kindergarten graduation ceremony this morning, to celebrate our littlest Strikers who are not able to make it earlier this week! Congrats to all Mendez Elementary graduates: kinder and 5th grade!

Just me & my bestie on the last day of school. Her ACL instructional assistant bought her a make up kit (her favorite) for the last day of school & IT MADE her year. Special Education IAs and teachers are irreplaceable. They love & give the most. SMCISD Special Education take care of them ❤️
The Mendez Elementary 5th grade graduation ceremony (and dodgeball game) is full of laughs and tears as we say goodbye to our Strikers as they move on to middle school. We are sad to see them go, but can't wait to see the amazing things they accomplish in middle school and beyond.
Our Mendez Elementary care team prepared one last treat for our 5th graders this afternoon. Each and every one of our 5th grade graduates are off to do great things! Congratulations Strikers!!!
