I had the pleasure of visiting Belfast Boys’ Model, Currie Primary School and Mercy College today to meet with staff and pupils and hear about innovative approaches to both teaching and pastoral care. I was so impressed by the dedication of the staff who go that extra mile.

CCMS representatives attended the @NeverSuch Roadshow. A great opportunity for Young people to be part of the newly launched Conversations on Conflict programme. Well done the students from MercyCollege Belfast who shared their wonderful poetry.

Today Primary Seven welcomed Mr Nixon from MercyCollege Belfast into their classroom. The girls were provided with the opportunity to ask questions about life in post-primary school and had a look at a typical secondary school weekly timetable.

Mr Mills and Year 12 boys walked Cave Hill today with Oisín McVicker. To raise money for local Community Food Bank Oisín is walking the equivalent of Mt Everest on Cave Hill. That’s 24 times in three days. Best of Luck and Well done boys.

On Friday we welcomed Device Company Cirdan Ltd to speak to our GCSE & A-Level ICT students about their experience working in the medical IT industry. This was a very informative session, which showed our students a variety of pathways and careers in IT.
