Thank you to FIU for hosting their annual disaster field exercise. This hands-on training gives students the opportunity to work through real-world scenarios, offering medical aid, assessing damage and coordinating logistics as part of a collaborative response effort.

We had the pleasure of welcoming Sofia, an incoming high school senior with hopes of becoming a firefighter. We were glad to give her a glimpse into the fire service, and we hope the experience helps inspire her path forward. We wish her all the best in her senior year!

Congratulations to our 2025 Jr. Fire Academy graduates! Throughout the week, campers learned essential skills including CPR, basic first aid, search and rescue techniques and a deeper understanding of the fire service. We definitely see some future firefighters in the making!
