Attention #PowerBI data modeling friends: I need your opinion. I have a type 7 SCD that I need in the model. My fact has both the SK and a durable key. I have two choices: A. Drop the durable key from the fact. Only use the SK between the tables. Process the dim by joining it

All my #TabularEditor peeps, is there an easy way to Output() the technical config of a selected object that isn't the GUI-stylized output while using the GUI? What exactly is the AlternateOf config for my Selected.Column? I don't want the gui. I want the technical values.

My team's Tabular Editor 3 birthday is this month. Please pray for me as I work to justify to my leadership this eye-watering license renewal for my team. And all you TE2 users out there don't know what you're missing out on. I ain't never going back!1!!1!!!!!

Friendly reminder that after many many years, HideBlankMembers is still not supported by Power BI visuals. I don't want to return to the dark ages of multidimensional! Come on, guys! #PowerBI #TabularEditor

All this talk about the evils of price gouging reminds me of a talk from Michael Munger on EconTalk. Here's a shorter video of the position. People should educate themselves. Prices rise as a result of scarcity. It's natural. youtube.com/watch?v=HFXYO1…

Power BI / Vertipaq friends, can you help me track down an article (or video?) that I think I came across a while ago from SQLBI? It was about EAV structure where metric values are represented in various rows (e.g one row is the "Sales" row, and the next is the "Unit Count" row)

I'm happy to report that after reorganizing my box of random cables, I found a high quality braided 3 ft toslink cable and can replace the garbagy 6 ft plastic cable that was in service. I then delicately placed the garbage cable into the box. I might need it someday.

All my Power BI experts out there: Have you gotten service principals to query models that have RLS? If so, how did you do that? What setup did you have to do with the SP, and did you use the impersonatedUserName of the execute-queries call?

Absolutely cooked my opponent with the Sicilian. It was only 15 moves, but I've never gotten through a middlegame at 99%. Now I am become Stockfish, destroyer of boards

Recently got my collection appraised by a professional. Unbelievable growth in value. Just unreal. Worth 2.5x what I spent not even a year ago. To the moon!
