Over the past ~15 years, multiple therapists have diagnosed me with an unspecified anxiety disorder & a depressive disorder. But last month, my new therapist told me that, all this time, I'd been misdiagnosed. What happened next changed my life: 1/ #WorldMentalHealthDay

Dear #AcademicTwitter, any advice for a student with a bout of chronic pain the day of their PhD viva? Do they take a painkiller that makes them slow and drowsy? Or not, and do the viva in pain? Do they tell the examiners? Dr Zoë Ayres PhD Voice - Independently Run Enabled in Academia Disabled in Higher Ed - #DisInHigherEd

It is more than "okay" to celebrate any and all of your achievements, big or small. Remember, you are the one who gets to decide what is worth celebrating. Take the time to acknowledge and enjoy your wins.

Neuroscience is for girls (but not women- yet) There is a tendency to think that the gap between the number of men and women in science is closing. However, the statistics throw up data which suggests we might conclude the opposite.
