Yep, it's another tweet in which I say there's been some incremental movement on a GONE TV/Movie. In the meantime here are Astrid who's very into tummy rubs and Boss who likes to shit in the street. Preferably in traffic.

GONE movie update: Just spoke with the relevant parties, and all are still very into this. GONE also has interest from a surprising number of heavyweight producers. People even I've heard of. The project is very much alive, Hollywood is back from strikes, let's get this done.

OK, this is yet another GONE movie ray of hope. Gotta stay vague, but things are starting to move. Still preliminary, we are not at the talking-to-Netflix stage just yet. But even I am feeling twinges of optimism. This thing may actually happen.

GONE MOVIE update: As you may know, I am not a giddy optimist. But just got off a conference call and pieces are coming together. The Avengers are assembling. Many battles ahead, no guarantee of victory, but Cap, Black Widow, Iron Man and Hulk are getting it together.

Spent the day with Danny Philippou (GONE fan and Director of Talk To Me, 94% Rotten Tomatoes) in Pismo (Perdido) Beach. I underestimated the likelihood of GONE movie(s). More happening than I knew. I'm experiencing hope, and I don't like hope. Honest guess? 50% within 3 years.

People may have noticed I've cut my Twitter time drastically. It's a dilemma - I despise Elon's Nazi Twitter, but I like talking to fans. In any case, I wanted to wish you all a happy New Year, with hopes for a GONE movie and a re-elected Joe Biden.

GONE movie update: Danny Philippou and his co-writer have begun intensive work on screenplay. (Squee!) Next steps: 1) screenplay 2) find a buyer (we already have serious interest), 3) get it greenlit, 4) make a movie, 5) I buy a tux for the premiere, 6) Danny collects Oscar.

OK so bad news. Danny Philippou has had to detach from GONE. He was sincere in his desire, and put work into it, but as frequently happens with Hollywood projects, the scheduling was impossible. Don't be mad, but yeah, do be disappointed.
