My heart is breaking for Daunte Wright's family and loved ones. There must be an immediate and transparent investigation into what happened and why a Black man's life was lost at the hands of law enforcement.

When I was a teenager I was misidentified by police officers, shot at, and falsely arrested. Since then I have dedicated my career to changing the way law enforcement agencies interact with our communities. Now I'm running for Congress to continue that work.
