A Best of the Net and Pushcart Prize nominee, he won the Nigerian Students Poetry Prize in 2021 and was the second runner-up in the 2021 Kreative Diadem Creative Writing Contest for Poetry Category.

Samuel's chapbook, Rose Ash, was selected by Kwame Dawes and Chris Abani for the 2023 New-Generation African Poets chapbook box set. His work has appeared in Palette Poetry, Frontier Poetry, Chestnut Review, Evergreen Review, Agbowo, Isele Magazine, Lolwe, and elsewhere. (👀)

He received the Unserious Collective Fellowship in 2024. Adeyemi serves as a poetry mentor with the Sprinng Writers Fellowship and is a member of The Deadliners. He also works as a news editor and broadcast journalist.
