It is a part of this wonderful, all-star special issue of American Literature Journal Duke University Press edited by @ritaraley and @j_s_rhee.

An important tech point re: the woman sentenced to 28 months in prison in England for procuring abortion pills to end a pregnancy beyond the legal limit. She said she didn’t know how long she’d been pregnant. But police gathered web searches and messages which disputed this.

The The New York Times just reported that YouTube and Google might be tracking and targeting children on their platform without parental consent—violating their consent decree and my law, COPPA. This is egregious behavior and Sen. Marsha Blackburn and I are calling on the FTC to investigate.

The EDPB's opinion on the cookie pledge has just been published! Notably, it states that tools to automate consent refusals (e.g. software settings) can "help to reduce cookie fatigue", but that automating affirmative consent is more complicated, bc consent should be specific

So the lesson to the Chrome team is unless we're about to be regulated or iPhones are flying off shelves because people think iPhones are so much better than Android at privacy then do not proactively announce anything costing Google billions of dollars. /10
