Today in English year 6, skimmed a biography for gist, sequenced the paragraphs and wrote sub-headings for each one. A great week practising reading skills!

In Year 4, our focus text in English has been Rumaysa written by Radiya Today we used drama techniques to inform our writing and were a little bit frightened by the demanding Cordelia!!

What a fantastic staff meeting with Lancashire Heritage looking at chronology. It was great to look at new and creative ways of supporting our pupils with developing their understanding of chronology. Thank you 👏

Today in Year 3, we were immersed in the opening of Tutankhamun’s tomb. We looked at some of the artefacts that were found by Howard Carter in 1922. We thought about how it must have felt to make a discovery that changed history forever. It was very exciting to be in role! 🔍 🔦

This week after school Darcey, with the help of her family and friends raised a total of £295 for Make-A-Wish UK by organising and running cake sale after school. What an amazing achievement, we are so proud of you!
