A stunning Bedstraw Hawkmoth in the garden here on Westray. A first for the island, thanks to the three Moth-ers of Invention here (thanks to Steve Dudley π· ). Migrant Lepidoptera An exceptional night with three species new to the Island.

2x Small Mottled Willow to light on the 25th July at Chippenham Fen, East Cambs. One was a rather nice specimen. Migrant Lepidoptera



This is an historic photo. Congratulations to William Brame (who took the photo) for realising this was a different white butterfly. Now confirmed by Chris van Swaay as a Southern Small White - the first seen in England. As it is a female let's hope it has been laying eggs.
