Have been renting my friend's Tesla Model Y the past 6 months. Self-driving minivan, self-driving Subaru Baja (both with gas engines ideally) would be my dream Tesla products. FSD is incredible (and a good reason to own Tesla stock), but charging is still not figured out

Everybody is posting this plot from the NYT... The inverse relationship between food spend and healthcare spend is pretty amazing. Unlikely to be directly related, but it would be interesting to see if this holds true on an individual or cohort level.

Why are birds so elegant and safe while small airplanes are flying horror mobiles that require 100 step checklists? (you never really see birds crashing, no inflight maintenance issues etc.)

I used to think this was a cool idea and wondered why it failed. Let’s drive to the airport, unfold the wings, do a quick 45 minute safety check, and then we can conveniently fly wherever we want! What were they thinking? It’s like scuba diving to commute to work.
