There may soon be a lot more athletic scholarships available at DI schools. Team scholarship limits are being replaced with roster limits. Schools will be able to count $2.5M in new scholarships towards the $22M #NIL payment cap. Schools will also deemphasize some sports.

.Stewie is at the top of her game. During a major moment for women’s sports, the WNBA star — who is currently competing for yet another gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics — is using her powerful platform to ignite change for the next generation of female ballers.

Interesting #NIL deal data from the NCAA’s new NIL Assist dashboard. Although it’s important to keep in mind this is a limited dataset, as many deals aren’t currently being reported. Not surprisingly, data shows football and men’s basketball players earning the most NIL money.

As expected, the NCAA DI Board of Directors today approved a proposal that would distribute revenue to conferences/schools based on performance in the NCAA women’s basketball tournament, as the men’s event has done for years. Must be approved at the January convention.

Absolutely amazing memory as both camps took a pause to watch USA Basketball win their 8th straight Olympic Gold 🏅🇺🇸🫡 This has to be one of the all-time coolest moments in our camp’s history, making lifelong memories through this game that we love! Rising Blue Star

Congress isn’t needed for any of this, including a standard contract, except to unilaterally impose things on the athletes. Use the NBA, NFL, etc. as examples and work towards a model where the terms of college athletes’ services to schools are agreed to by the athletes.

🤦 High school players need to really understand all levels if they want to play in college. D1 options are getting slimmer and slimmer each year. D2, NAIA, D3, NJCAA
