Commodore Goodwill has called at the port for the final time today. Previously operated by Condor Ferries, she has serviced the Portsmouth to Jersey route for the last 30 years as a cargo ship, beginning with Commodore Ferries in 1996.

This morning saw the first passenger sailing from DFDS UK & IRE as it began its new Portsmouth to Jersey service. The Stena Vinga departed at 0900, and will operate a round-trip journey to the island once a day, from Monday to Saturday.

Today we say goodbye to one of the port’s longest serving ships, Normandie. She has served the Caen route since 1992, and was the first cruise-ferry vessel to be based in the port. She will leave us for the last time tonight at 2300. Bonne retraite Normandie. Brittany Ferries
