Finally getting corn & soybean weed control research trials planted today. Also, a trial comparing different seed treatments for control of seedcorn maggot w/ corn planted in tilled cover crop vs no cover crop.

Evaluating weed control & soybean tolerance to increasing rates of metribuzin. Received .66" rain within 24 hrs of the metribuzin applications and more rainfall in the forecast today.

High soybean aphid populations found in Northern NY today. Scouting season isn't over yet, continue to monitor soybeans for SBA through the R5 growth stage. I did not see any beneficial predators feeding on the aphids. @NYSIPM

Significant seedcorn maggot damage on neonic treated soybean seed in Hudson River Valley in NYS. Early planting, cool weather, followed by significant rainfall reduced efficacy of insecticide which reulted in a replant situation.
