2025 Recruits: Your June 15th activity or inactivity does not define you as a person. It is not a reflection of your self worth. Not everyone's journey starts on June 15, and that's OK. For those of your that receive a lot of attention, be mindful of others who receive less.

Every September I get responses from June 15th texts that went ignored for 3 months… You don’t have to have a conversation with every coach this week - but be careful of slamming doors too early in the process.

I don’t think “June 15th recruiting” is better than the alternative option of early recruiting. Not everyone is ready on the same day. Faster processes and decisions without on-campus visits in many cases is part of the reason our transfer rate is high. #unpopularopinion

Further, I struggle with June 15 offers. I’m not sure how you tell a kid they are “the perfect fit” without you having any real idea who they are or what they want. Sure you’ve evaluated talent, but isn’t it a lot more than that for both sides? Well, It is for us.

At the very least - this is a good adjustment. Less missed school for prospects, and not around the craziness of report day in August.

It has delayed the calendar date they commit - but in my experience it’s made the PROCESS shorter and more rushed…

My Summer Camp mantra: “no need to over camplicate it.” Teach some skills, have a lot of fun, connect with the kids, and finish with as many healthy kids at you started! Good luck to everyone in camp season!!

To host pre-conference volleyball tournaments, it should be mandatory to have CRS for all games. Otherwise, you should not be hosting.

Drop from 2 timeouts per set to 1. Allow coaches to have a single challenge in each set, which does not rollover to next set. Challenge CAN be used as a second timeout if coach wants. No media timeouts if a challenge has been used.
