Our new study finds that during the early pandemic, approximately 60 percent of US parents received informal support with childcare, mostly from older children and extended family members.

As an oldest daughter, the findings from my newest paper really hit home. My coauthors Emma Zang and Milly Yang and I found that 49% of US families with kids relied on older siblings to care for younger ones while schools/childcare centers were closed journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/01…
