Yesterday, Parliament in Schools visited St Paul’s Catholic Primary School in Woodridge. Thank you to the students for your amazing questions to Jim Chalmers MP and myself. It’s fantastic to see the eagerness of the leaders of tomorrow to learn about our democracy.

It’s been an honour to welcome 33 new MPs in Canberra this week, as they are introduced to the procedural and administrative aspects of their work in the House. I am looking forward to working alongside my new colleagues in the House in the upcoming 48th Parliament.

It was an honour to meet with the Business Committee of the Parliament of Kiribati 🇰🇮 this afternoon. It was a great opportunity to talk about Australia’s parliamentary business procedures and practices and the similarities and differences.

This evening Her Excellency, the Hon Ms Sam Mostyn AC, Governor-General of Australia hosted the class of 2025 New Members of Parliament. She spoke about the importance of democracy and what a privilege it is to hold these offices.
