Mind The Gap Evidenced Based Practice I always look forward to the meetings but today there's an "in person" option too. It's not often that you enjoy a commuter train ride up to London 😆

Great presentation by Debbie Levy Amy Hart on their experiences of using tiered intervention in schools Mind The Gap Evidenced Based Practice It did reduce their referrals, more to follow. Thanks Sarah Griggs Irwin Mitchell for hosting + refreshments

Thank you everyone for coming today. Hope there were lots of new ideas for everyone to take to practice. Thanks Iona Novak. .Cerebral Palsy Alliance what an amazing researcher you have. Please complete the feedback so we know what other training we could arrange. Happy summer!!

Thanks Dr. Hortensia Gimeno Anne Corbett excellent day with Iona Novak Key take homes: use motor learning theory, action tasks better than movements, goal tasks best; 3 learning stages need different approaches; whose brain is doing all the work-child or therapist? Mind The Gap Evidenced Based Practice

This message has stuck with me from Iona Novak study day: working on goals achieves results in 14–25 hr (face-to-face therapy + home practice). Working on general upper limb function you need 30-40 hr. Goal based approach is quicker onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.11… Mind The Gap Evidenced Based Practice
