Yesterday was the final Environmental Audit Committee meeting for two crucial people who have played a huge role over the years. Committee clerk Martyn Atkins and head of press Chloe Jago are both leaving and will be hugely missed. Very grateful for their support since I became Chair. 🙏

Why should we regulate PFAS products if we don’t know what the harm is yet? Yesterday Dr Joanna Cloy at Fidra, told us that we should safeguard for the future, and Government incentives to develop PFAS alternatives would see a growth in this sector.

The ambition: clean power to meet 100% of electricity demand by 2030, with at least 95% of electricity generation coming from low-carbon sources and no more than 5% from unabated gas. Achievable? 💨 @TobyPerkinsMP asks the questions for select cttee podcast #CommitteeCorridor ⬇️
