What a lovely lunch with some lovely Primary 7’s 🎅

P6, P6/7 and P7 made a commitment to take action to combat climate change and its impacts. As part of our Make a Difference project, we collected hundreds of crisp packets to create artwork and promote recycling around the school.

Thank you Mr Attrill Wester Hailes High School for teaching us about 2D and 3D shapes. Here are our finished Christmas cubes but I’m unsure how many sweets actually made it back to Clovenstone Primary School!

P6/7 and P7 enjoyed making our interpretation of fifteen. We taste tested along the way and can definitely confirm that they tasted good!

Primary 7 have been learning about the Jewish Festival of Light called Hanukkah which is observed for 8 nights and days beginning on the 25th of December. We learned about the significance of the menorah; what a sufganiya is; and began making dreidels to play 🕯️

Welcome back Primary 7! It’s so good to see you all after the holidays.

P6/7 and P7 started a mini Scots topic this week. We sang some funny Scots songs about Skinny Malinky and a chap called Donald who’d lost his troosers; we began learning a traditional Scottish dance during PE; and we read and recreated our own Oor Wullie comic strips 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Primary 7 are really enjoying our mini Scots topic. We created our own tartan, made Scots words postcards and wrote our own comics using Scots language 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
