It's been a pleasure to spend the last 3 months working as a Research Fellow at the Parliamentary Office for Science and Technology POST (UK Parliament). My first policy briefing "Prison population growth: drivers, implications and policy considerations" is now available to read ➡️

Couldn't agree more with this from Lee Elliot Major's latest book: "It should be a priority to develop strong partnerships with parents. It’s madness that teachers are not trained in how to work with parents.” Hoping to be part of the solution with the National Teacher Parental Engagement Survey!

Fantastic weekend leading the PGR Residential Writing Retreat, connecting doctoral students from Warwick Education Studies, CIDD at Warwick Uni & Warwick Applied Linguistics. Very grateful for the UKRI Enhancing Research Culture funding. Look out for what we've learned about supporting part time PGRs!

It looks like prison capacity is back at the top of the political agenda in England. Check out this policy briefing on prison population growth, which I co-authored with @Clare_Lally at the Parliamentary Office for Science and Technology POST (UK Parliament) doi.org/10.58248/PB58

Looking forward to delivering the Keynote at the Family Learning Conference next week. Come along if you’re interested in the results of the National Teacher Parental Engagement Survey and the work of all the other incredible speakers 👏🏼 nationalcentreforfamilylearning.org/web/Events/Eve…
