We are kickstarting the year learning all about Scotland!🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 We started learning our Scots’ Poem “Cat Food Rap” for next weeks competition. As we listened to The Gruffalo, we noted down some Scot’s vocab. We also looked at maps of Scotland and calculated the distance using scales.

Numeracy➗ We were learning how to divide by 10/100/1000. We scaled down the Scottish landmarks we found on the map then set off to build it to our scale measurements. Some of us even used our discovery time to adapt and complete the Forth Rail Bridge🌉#playinupperprimary

Our friends in P2/1 brought a problem to our attention. Their favourite monkeys arms had fallen off. We got straight to work on the operation and began sewing on the monkeys arms. I think they were glad to see their friend return to P2/1. 🪡🧵Miss Smith #playinupperprimary

We played our first game of Reading Traitors this week and we LOVED it. 📖 We had to answer 3 questions and back up our answers with evidence from the book but one traitor amongst us was trying really hard to convince us of the wrong answer. #playinupperprimary
