Funny that the "democratization" of culture is synonymous with the enslavement of cultural producers to previously unnecessary admin duties on behalf of tech owners. Doesn't feel that democratic.

Leaving FX until mixing stage is a choice I never thought to make as a plain old guitar player used to making do with the eternal hum and finality of the stomp box chain. Feels like a whole new world of possibility tracking everything "undressed" through the Trident.

The dogs don't seem to be enjoying Blue Öyster Cult's seminal live album "On Your Feet Or On Your Knees". Minor disappointment for me. They're like, "where's the Jah Shaka at?"

All I had to do to get the exact sound I wanted on recordings was save all my money for three solid years and build my own studio. 😅

Clarence White, Gene Parsons, McGuinn, Skip Battin version of The Byrds was my fave, honestly. I think distance gives it a validity McGuinn himself never imbued it with.

Psyched to see a Damo show coming out from this already great series. I recall some Twitter crit proclaiming, "they were a studio band." I beg to differ, and I think the more of these releases we get, the more we'll see that.
