Pleased to announce our last speakers before the summer break!☀️😎 We will have one talk on #OPV by Mohammed Azzouzi from Jenny Nelson Group and one about #perovskite and #ML by Basita Das from Thomas Kirchartz's group. More info at: ngse.info/phd-postdoc-se…

Our recent work Jenny Nelson Group in collaboration with Xabier Rodríguez-Martínez and icmabCSIC on the structure–absorption relationships and machine learning of non-fullerene acceptors for organic photovoltaics is now published in @EES_journal. pubs.rsc.org/en/content/art…

Just published in EES: A new study lead by Jenny Nelson Group, Jun Yan and Xabier Rodríguez-Martínez investigated the absorption strength of organic pi-conjugated molecules. ➡ doi.org/10.1039/D2EE00…

📢You can now enjoy Mohammed Azzouzi #PhdPotsdocSeries talk about 'Multiscale modelling of #OPV devices' on the i-MEET groups youtube channel Jenny Nelson Group Imperial College London youtu.be/LySQCwZPDuo via YouTube

💥Intelligence is dead; long live artificial intelligence💥 Alarmist narratives on AI 👏🏼 detract from legal & ethical risks 👏🏼 leads to dangerous overconfidence &👏🏼 paves the way towards ethical & legal-compliance-washing Check out my Chatham House piece chathamhouse.org/2022/07/intell…

⚡ Intelligence is dead; long live artificial intelligence ⚡ In light of the recent claims made about a 'sentient AI', I wrote this Chatham House piece to provide a general overview on why such sensationalist narratives on AI are unhelpful & dangerous. chathamhouse.org/2022/07/intell…

📣 New work from the group in Nature Communications shows that excitons are formed within 10 fs after photoexcitation of organic semiconductors! A great collaboration with Jenny Nelson Group and the Tisch group from Imperial Physics. imperial.ac.uk/news/239453/tr…

📣 Expert Comment alert 📣 With Marjorie Buchser, we wrote a Chatham House piece on how AI can transform lives, but policy and regulation must ensure 👏🏼 it 👏🏼 benefits 👏🏼 all 👏🏼 rather than maintains the status quo for a privileged few. A thread🧵 1/ chathamhouse.org/2023/06/ai-gov…

I spoke with the BBC News (World) on why I think that the UK should not be 'too ambitious' in convening the AI summit in autumn. Always good to bridge conversations, but must be mindful of 1) existing processes, and 2) inherent differences in policy & regulatory approaches.

So many congratulations to Jenny for receiving the Cherry award at the 50th 53nd IEEE PVSC. Very, very proud group members here, wishing we could be there to celebrate 😌

AI is increasingly discussed as an existential threat on par w nuclear weapons. But this parallel is distorting conversations about regulation. Check out my & the brilliant Dr Patricia M Lewis's new piece on why the nuclear governance model won't work for AI: chathamhouse.org/2023/06/nuclea…

You may remember UNICEF Spox James Elder pleading for a ceasefire in December to save children in Gaza, where nowhere is safe. He’s back in Gaza and now he’s pleading for Israel to stop restricting aid: “Let’s be clear, lifesaving aid is being obstructed…lives are being lost”

Congratulations to Professor Jenny Nelson from Imperial Physics who has won a €2.4m grant from European Research Council (ERC) to unpick how plants convert sunlight to energy efficiently. This could help us design more efficient materials for solar-harvesting tech. imperial.ac.uk/news/252635/im…

New Paper! CT states! nature.com/articles/s4155… Thanks Nature Chemistry for publishing Amazing collaboration with Jenny Nelson Group Jarvist Moore Frost @RaoGroupCAM and others.
