In Winston Churchill's book "The Gathering Storm" about Nazi Germany, he notes there were numerous times the world could've stopped the rise of the Nazis but instead simply hoped for the best. History is SCREAMING at us we can NOT simply hope for the best with this GOP. #VoteBlue

Here is my candid interview on CBC discussing #ODSP, #Ontarioworks and how they've been affected by the #housing crisis and #food #inflation costs. It was rough and I feel shame, embarrassment and anxiety, but someone needs to do it. cbc.ca/player/play/20…

🧵 Too often “professionalism” is the silent demand to conform to white, class-specific culture. It often means to be silent about your mistreatment, to smile when you are slapped, to do as you are told, to bend to whims, fears & fragility of others. It means white over everyone

The reason I find academia so hard, is I am wired for a kind of love that this place cannot sustain. I think of ways to cite colleagues, to lift them up, to support them. All the time. It is not reciprocal with so many others. I find it painful. I'm not sure how long I can last.
