Very excited and anxious to be presenting joint paper with Yunyan Yunyan Li on comparative studies between Kazakhstan and China at the SPA24 in Glasgow. Our paper is about urban mothers’ defamilisation and coping strategies in Guangzhou and Almaty.

This year’s Social Policy Assoc Conf. in Glasgow was unique experience: presenting our co-authored paper with Yunyan Li on Kazakhstan and China, and meeting the fascinating Prof. Heejung Chung in-person and the researchers from South Korea. Expanding research on Global South.

Humbled to be part of the organising committee. Come along for thought-provoking scholarly discussions on migration in Eurasia shaped by the latest socio-political events.

Never have I thought that I would be included in the digital exhibition ‘Remarkable International Women of Nottingham’ celebrating Women’s Day. Many thanks to the Second Chance Learning Academy for such a special cause.
