I don't think many people appreciate that the UK's #search & rescue network includes (and relies heavily upon) 14,000 highly trained #volunteers! Last night, in very challenging conditions, 60 of those 14,000 went out to save a life! "Thank you" just ain't enough. "Well done" all

The team were called out at 02.00 Hrs this morning to assist NWP in a search for a high risk vulnerable male in the Amlwch area. Thankfully the person was located safe and well by the R936 helicopter just as team members were arriving on scene.

The team are out once again on a training exercise in the Aberfraw area refreshing their knowledge on how to deal with finding a missing person with Autism. There will also be the usual casualty packaging and stretcher carrying training !

Last nights training (if it ain't raining, it ain't training!) was all about navigation, including the use of a compass and paper maps, as you can't always rely on electronic devices. Not the best night for outdoor training so 👏👏👏 to everyone who turned out.
