Big on nature, short on space? Unleash your wild side with a burst of creativity this #30DaysWild! 🎨 Turn old boots into butterfly havens, kettles into bee cafés, or teapots into tiny meadows. Your creations could be the next big buzz in the garden! 🐝👉 wildlifetrusts.org/actions/how-cr…

We can’t believe it’s the last day of #30DaysWild 2025🥲 One of our highlights was a mini bioblitz at our #SevernFarmPond Nature Reserve. Bioblitzes, where you spot, identify & record wildlife using field guides, apps & expert guidance, are fun ways to learn & help nature 💚

July is here! 🌞 Time to look out for swifts, red admirals, common lizards and more. Have you spotted any of these seasonal stars yet? 👀🦋🦎

Whether making homes for wildlife or exploring wild places, we hope you’ve enjoyed getting closer to nature this #30DaysWild 🐞🌳 If so, why not make every day a little wilder by becoming a member of MWT or volunteering? 📸Rob Haigh, Emyr Evans #LoveWildlife #MWTVolunteers

Bore da We saw a big fight late yesterday evening between Brianne and Cwellyn. Quite unusual for chicks this old. Honddu (Bobby Bach) kept well out of the way!

Have you seen the frothy flowers of this insect magnet yet this summer? 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿Hemp-agrimony 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿Bedwen Chwerw The Cymraeg translates to ‘bitter birch’, an apter name for this acrid-tasting plant which is neither related to hemp or agrimony. 📸Emyr Evans #WildWelshWednesday

It's that time of year when vegetation grows rapidly, and with that comes the urge to make things neat and tidy in our gardens. Perhaps leave a section grow wild and observe what comes, you may be surprised! 📸Mark Hamblin/2020VISION

Bird breeding is typically March - August, if vegetation cutting does need to occur in this time then please do observe the area first and check for any signs of nesting; if there are postpone any work until after the young have fledged. 📷Gavin Dickson

Conservation Officer Ceri & the Gregynog volunteers have been spotting lots of wildlife. They report sightings to the record centre, & give Gregynog a species list, so the estate knows what they have. Wildlife recording is key to wildlife conservation💚 #welcomehometonature

This #DragonflyWeek why not see which of these winged jewels you can spot or record? Ancient, fast, large & often vibrantly coloured, dragonflies & damselflies (odonata) are more visible than other insects & can be seen in & around wetlands, rivers & canals💦 #MontgomeryCanal

We have 22 recorded species of gwas y neidr (dragonfly) in Wales & we’re lucky to have some great places to see them in the county, such as #MontgomeryCanal, #WelshpoolGolfClub & many of our reserves like: #SevernFarmPond, #CorsDyfi & #PwllPenarth💚 👉montwt.co.uk/montgomeryshir…
