PSEG scams. Scammers are calling around claiming to be PSEG, threatening to shut off power for overdue payment. Victims are frequently seniors. Do not make payment, or make any other payment demanded over phone. Call PSEG or directly if you are unsure. Call your PD if unsure

Stolen car last night in Montvale east side of town. Also a theft from a vehicle in same area. Wallet left in car. Door unlocked. Fob in car. Don’t make it easy for the thieves. Take fob and valuables out and lock your car.

More scams. Letters or emails threatening to release secrets about you unless payment is made. The scammer alleges extramarital affairs, shady business deals, internet porn viewing, and other falsehoods. Ignore and notify the PD.
