On Drill this evening we had the opportunity to use a local landowners property to utilise a new technique with the level 1 pack down a steep embankment. A walk around the farm also provided the crew with local knowledge and showed the potential risks with farm fires.

Yesterday (01/06/25) Montgomery Fire Station opened it's doors to the local community and further a field to come and chat with the crew and find out what we do. Fire safety, road safety and recruitment discussions took place.

03/06/25 03:22 03P1 mobilised to initially a grass fire in Mellington, Churchstoke, on route this was confirmed involving a shed. On arrival of 03P1, shed well alight. Quick action by crews prevented spread of fire to wood. Gorsaf Dan Y Drenewydd/Newtown Fire Station mobilised to assist with water.
