Congratulations to the 17 sites who participated in yesterday's #westmidsalldayer - some impressive totals considering the less than conducive weather. Star bird of the day was undoubtedly the Glossy Ibis which graced both Branston and Ladywalk. Well done all ๐Ÿ‘ West Midland Bird Club

Yesterday's Alldayer produced a total of 69 for Chasewater. I arrived at 3:30 am and left 27000 steps later at 9:00pm after 189 Sand Martins roosted. A good result from a team of 2 on a typical busy Chasewater bank holiday! Phil Andrews

Dug my moth trap out of the shed and lit it up last night. Temperatures dropped so not a big catch. 12 moths for 5 different species. But one was this stunning Lime Hawk-Moth. First for my garden.

A few people have commented about the lack of recent otter updates at Ladywalk NR This is due to the Trail camera and some associated equipment being stolen from the reserve. This also raises the problem that Iโ€™m reluctant to place another camera in the same spot.

We had an amazing bat walk around Ladywalk NR on Friday night thanks to Warwickshire bat group for leading the walk, just some of the thermal footage I took Sam
