Today is the first day of the mini MBA Innovation Challenge exploring solutions to health and wellbeing issues in a post-pandemic world with the fantastic Peter Allen Durham University Business School. Today is all about researching and starting the exciting journey of developing a feasible product.

Congratulations to the winning team for our mini MBA, selected by a panel of industry experts. The competition was fierce with all 3 groups of scientists providing impressive pitches on their business ideas after an intensive 2 weeks work. This week, I had a pleasure presenting a flash talk and chairing at MoSMed CDT Conference. Big thanks to the organizers, my supervisors, Prof Mike Waring and Dr. CƩline Cano, as well as my group Medicinal Chemistry Group - Newcastle Uni for support. Can't wait to come back next year!

Lots of fun at Newcastle University Discover Festival today! Our team of scientists have been doing some fun pH experiments with guests, and explaining why scientists always wash their hands. Still time to join us until 4pm in the Hadrian Building, Lindisfarne Room.

Thrilled to welcomeĀ Dr. Sarah Barry from King's College London as part of Women in #ChemBioĀ seminar series sponsored by Biochemical Society. Dr. Barry leads a research group focusing on bacterial metabolism and natural product biosynthesis. #WomenInSTEM #ChemicalBiology
