What a powerhouse panel of women activists in labour, politics and community movements. In taking about the guilt of caregiving while creating social change these women share stories, challenges and why it was all worth it. Thank you Beverley Johnson Marie Clarke Walker Dr. Jill Andrew, PhD (she/her)

This was such an important opportunity! Thank you ETFO for the invitation! As I said on the panel, the need for an Ontario caregiver benefit AND an inde Seniors Advocate is growing immensely! Women disproportionately shoulder this unpaid labour for loved ones and they need help!

I don’t even have word for how awful this is. We are drowning in schools with lack of support for students and these people are living it up at the board office giving themselves $$$$$

For years, we have known this: boards have cut the front line staff - the roots of the organization- while padding the upper tier. Executive compensations have been a problem forever. There was ways to prevent this but the province looked the other way. Now it’s coming to light

No one - no patient, no family member, no doctor, no nurse, no worker - should have to pay to park at a public hospital in Ontario. Politicians don't pay to park at their workplace - so why should doctors, nurses, and front-line workers who are saving lives, day in and day out?
